Journal entry by Cheryl Prakash —
So sorry it has been such a long time! I am definitely on the road back to “normal”. I can’t believe that it is seven weeks ago today that I received the transplant. I have come so so far (even my hair is growing in a tiny bit!!). My blood work at last doctors visit showed good progress. I go back on 3/28 - doctor thinks I will be able to return to work by 4/15.
I still need to avoid crowds but I have been venturing out to uncrowded places in my mask and with my hand sanitizer readily available. I have been to the grocery store twice @ 7:00 am! What a treat to pick out my own groceries. I’m learning to appreciate how much I take for granted.
I just want to thank everyone again for all your love and support during this challenge! You have all made it easier to stay motivated and keep on the road to recovery. xoxoxo
