Cheryl was my BSF leader. I have not seen her in a few years but the year I was in her group was HONESTLY my best year at BSF. She was a wonderful leader and person. I enjoyed getting to know her through BSF. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed but know she is with God now. My prayers are with all her family as I know she loved them all dearly she spoke about them often. I am grateful to have known her for the short time I did. May God's peace be with you all and may he comfort you at this time. Blessing always, Katherine

I worked with Cheryl a couple of years ago when she was Benevolence Coordinator at Willow Crystal Lake and I was a volunteer. I loved her gentle spirit, her wisdom, and her genuine caring for people. She was quick to laugh with a twinkle in her eyes, and I looked forward to meetings with her.
She will be missed. Blessings of comfort to her family and friends who are feeling her absence so acutely.

To the dear McDermott family. My prayers to all of you. I'm happy Cheryl is now at peace with our Father. She was a very special friend to my Furio family and thru them I learned of Cheryl's wonderful ways. I hope to be with you to celebrate her life. God bless you all!

The two years I worked with Cheryl at Willow were years filled with joy, tears, praises and prayers to our God, dreaming, planning and putting things in motion like the Women's Anxiety Group, moments of shear silliness, times of sharing life including heart aches and celebrations. Casey, Lindsey, Ryan and Joe she loved each of you with a passion. There has not a day that I didn't look forward to working with my friend, colleague, and sister-in-Christ. There is not a day that I walk into my office without thinking of her. She will be missed. Thankful for the promises of eternal life. I know she is home. Donnalynn

So sorry to hear of her passing. I went to Haiti with Cheryl several years ago on a medical mission trip. I had the honor to see her love for others as well as her love for Jesus as she tirelessly served those in need each day. She truly stood out from our team as an encourager as I’ll never forget the last night we were there she read aloud the most sincere words of affirmation that she saw in each one of us. Cheryl really took him to listen and get to know the people she came across. I’m sure she she will be greatly missed as she has touched the lives of so many!

Oh my heart is sad for the family, and also celebrating that Cheryl is where she has focused her life on! I have seen Cheryl's faith, love, courage reflect for about 20 years. From small group to being co-workers, Cheryl has blessed my life in so many ways with wisdom, prayer and laughter. I look forward to time again with her when my journey here ends.

Beautiful family, we are so sad to hear this and yet grateful she was at peace. Cheryl welcomed our family into hers and loved each of us without boundary or limitation and gently helped the worl feel safe and kind by every action and gesture. Her love touched us and changed us. We hope we can share that with you and yours in this difficult time. Cheryl possessed a beautiful grace. We love in her service.
