CANER UPDATE - One year ago yesterday, May 22, 2020, I was told my cancer was back and diagnosed as Pancreatic Cancer, Stage 4. Treatable, but not curable. Surgery was not an option. I have been getting MRI and CT scans every 3 month with chemo, 28 times, and the tumor in the liver has shrunk to almost nothing and is not changing. The mass by my stomach may not be cancer. Dr. Huyck will meet with other doctors on his team June 2nd and we see if surgery would be an option at this time. If the surgery would give the diagnoses of ‘No evidence of Disease’ then we may do surgery. He said having surgery for Pancreatic Cancer, Stage 4 is very unusual. He also talked about another option. Not totally sure what this would mean for chemo in my future. My appointment with Dr. Huyck is June 4. Stay tuned…. 😊
