Chelsie’s Story

Site created on February 18, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Kimberly and myself have decided it was time to open up about our INFERTILITY journey.  Time to put our pride aside and let everyone in on what we have been going through over the last 5 years.  We are using it to bring awareness and also to keep family and friends and anyone else updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you.

Journal entry by chelsie Powell

By January 2020, we had undergone 2 hysteroscopys and one unsuccessful IUI. We are currently in the tww(two week wait) to find out if this second IUI will have been successful. FINGERS CROSSED. We have decided with what we have been through thus far we were ready to open up to everyone. So many couples struggle with infertility and we feel as though we can help someone the way following other couples journey has helped us. We have also decided to do some fundraising to help with some of the cost, because like we previously stated this journey is not cheap and with what we have spent we have pretty much went through our savings. We are not giving up, and putting it out there to receive help has been very hard for me to accept, but I've learned were not alone in this and there are people who want to help. We will be doing a series of fundraisers to offset cost starting with the bracelets. We are praying everyday this IUI is successful but in the case it isn't we will be moving on to IVF which is where your help will really come into play. We will go to the ends of the earth to reach our goal as parents.
