Newest Update

Journal entry by Carson Vitale

I know, I know it’s been another time too long. Carson’s back in the full swing of things and I just simply forget!

However, Charlie has been doing so well since we last updated! He is almost 5 and a half pounds! 🤯 He just celebrated his 2 month birthday and he is about 36.4 gestational age! Crazy we’ve had two months with this little cutie and still would have been waiting another to meet him!

Really he’s just been growing and maturing each day. He is on phase 2 of 4 of his feeding protocol. He’s taking his time getting through this 2nd phase but he’s practicing a lot and can only get better. Takes a lot of energy to feed yourself so he just needs to gain more stamina, he has the skills!

Some very exciting news, Nagy (my mom 😉) was able to meet him yesterday!! We have the absolute best primary nurses and one of them was able to get the approval for her to come in since Cars is on the road. It was a super special day and I know Nagy was over the moon to finally get her hands on him! She is cuddling with him as I type this! I know the rest of his grandparents can’t wait to meet him too, I wish we could bring everyone! Grandpa Rocky was able to get a lion king style visit where we help him up at the window so he could see him. Have to make due with what we can! Lol

Hopefully by the next update we will be getting really close to his graduation day as they call it in the NICU!

Until next time, thank you guys as always. This road has been made so much better with all of you helping us along the way!

Now wish me and Mom luck as we attempt to build a crib tonight 😳. Dad keep your phone on you!

Love,
Carson, Lucy and Charlie
