Charlie’s Story

Misdiagnosed for 6 years, she is finally having surgery to correct hey ankle issue.  When she was 12 (and every year since thru MRIs) we were told a benign, inoperable tumor was causing the pain.  I got a second opinion and found out she didn't have a tumor, rather, a cyst has grown into the bottom if the tibia at the ankle joint.  On Friday, she will have surgery to remove the cyst.  Send her some encouragement!

She's done!  Doc just came out and said she did great w/ no issues and it was just as she thought.. a hole in her tibia  with cartilage issues.  She cleaned the cartilage up and filled the hole with grafting material.  She's in the process of waking and Doctor says she seems good so far.  She gave us pics 😨.  Interesting and nauseating 😄. We are waiting to see her, now.

We had planned to go get Zak pancakes while she was in surgery but at the last minute her Daddy didn't want to leave the hospital 😄 ...and he just walked out of the gift shop with a stuffed llama for her 🤣🤣.   Click on the pic! 😁😀♥️💚
