Chuck, Charlie & Charles’s Story

Site created on February 27, 2018

I was diagnosed with (PV) polycythemia vera January 2008. PV makes my bone marrow produce too many red blood cells. Because of the extra activity of my bone marrow working over time, the marrow has slowed producing cells and begun to scar. My illness PV has morphed into (MF) Myelofibrosis. The treatment and possible cure is an allogenic BMT, or bone marrow transplant. Stem cell instead of actual bone marrow. Newer technology more success.
