Journal entry by Stephen Riddle —
Friends and Family
When we first set up the Careingbridge site for dad, I commented that we were so thankful for friends and family and that we were quickly in awe of all the people that dad loved and impacted. As time went by and we were able to read and hear from so many, it further solidified how he lived his life as a Christian servant. Saying we are thankful for all of you is somewhat understating it. But it has to be said; “Thank you!”
On Sunday, May 31 we will have a private inurnment service at First United Methodist Church in High Point. Because of the current Covid restrictions, we are not having a memorial service now but tentatively planning one for August 29th. We hope to have it at the church and will send updates here when available. Please check in periodically as we would love for all of you to come and see us and celebrate dad’s life.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
