Also, I have a basket of blankets in my office because of you:) I remember how cold you always were at our pastoral team meetings at Mission Hills. I wanted to make sure that anyone coming into my office could keep warm. Thank you for the idea!
This reminds me of a book I read a few years ago by Lisa Voskamp called “One Thousand Gifts—A Dare To Live Fully”. She wrote out the small blessings in her day everyday and encouraged the reader to do the same. I took the challenge and can say it was the best spiritual discipline I ever did. It still changes the way I walk through my days. You are so right—look at the things in front of us today. Being a driven person, I loose sight of them easily.
I so hate being cold too! We are very fortunate we live in California! My brother lives in Missouri, and it was 8 degrees this week with a wind chill of -23! Makes me shiver and my bones hurt to think of it!
Well I hear a different tone in your writing today! It brings joy to my heart! I know your struggles are far from over....but today you sound different! Steps!
