Just a few words from the Mother -in Law-There are no words to express the love and gratitude our entire family feels for Rick Shir and his family. Without hesitation Rick stepped forward and offered new life to our wonderful Chad Man also known as Chad the Dad! As the 2 families waited together on March 22 it seemed like a dream. Emotions were kept in check as busy children played games, ate rice krispie bars , and kept the adults very busy. We made so many trips to the Gift Shop at Mayo they knew us by name. Shopping is always a good therapy. We all took a deep breath when we received an update that Rick was out of surgery and doing well! And finally several hours later more good news.... Chad was out and doing great. There were more sighs of relief , hugs, a few tears and an overwhelming sense of Love , Relief, and Faith, our prayers had been answered. Super Hero Organ Donor Rick and Super Hero Transplant Recipient Chad will alway share a very special connection. Let us not forget their amazing wives, their friendship made this all possible. God had a Plan. Also Thank you to the many friends that donated to the Go Fund Me page, brought meals, and prayed for this amazing outcome.
