My mom’s hemoglobin dropped, so there will be no surgery. The cardiologists also now believe that any surgery is too risky. The diabetic crisis and heart attack that landed her in ICU last week revealed she has advanced heart disease. For now, her heart will be treated with meds. This is disappointing, as we were hoping for a “fix,” that would get her back to her peppy self. 

We need to get to bottom of the hemoglobin issue, but hope that she can get out of the hospital very soon and eventually back to Ohio.
