Cathy’s Story

Cathy, to many, is special, to her family, she is irreplaceable. She has been married to her husband, Doug, for 26 years and this March 15th they will celebrate 29 years since their first date. We have traveled the world, and experienced many wonderful memories together that will never be forgotten.


Cathy has two children, Trent and Katie. Trent is 20 years old and is enjoying college life at Baldwin Wallace University where he is studying business and playing baseball. Katie is graduating from HS this year and will be attending Lakeland Community College where she will study radiology and play basketball and softball. Cathy could not be more proud of her kids and has enjoyed watching them play sports over the years. Her favorite quote since we found out the devastating news is, KEEP MOVING FORWARD!


The cancer was unnoticed and grew inside her before devastating our family on December 1st 2023. Since then, we have had many test, doctor visits, radiation, and started immunotherapy to slow the growth, and give us more time with our wonderful mother and wife. We are fighting, but the cancer continues to grow. Currently Cathy is fighting melanoma in her lymph nodes,  esophagus, lungs, liver, spleen, and bones. 


Cathy looks forward to attending Katie's graduation this year and watching her kids play ball this summer while traveling in our RV. Thank you all for the love and support!

Forever in our Hearts

My family will be forever grateful that Cathy blessed our lives in so many ways. She is our hero.

Cathy lost her very short battle with cancer this morning, and is now looking down at all of us, pain free and asking all of us to celebrate her life.  

My family is heartbroken, and we will forever remember our beloved wife and mother until we meet again. As I right this I can hear her say, KEEP MOVING FORWARD!
