Catherine (Cat)’s Story

Site created on December 27, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
On December 13, 2019, Catherine had what was supposed to be outpatient surgery to replace her breast implants which she had just gotten after a double mastectomy due to a recent breast cancer diagnosis.  That surgery had a major complication, Cat aspirated while under anesthetic and has been in a medically induced coma since December 13. Please pray for our dear Cat, we love her so much and she is an important member of our family.

Cat’s update for today......
Latest update:

Had to go to general practitioner today.  Woke up yesterday with 102.4° fever, lymph nodes in my throat swollen and ears aching.
On another round of antibiotics to take care of that infection. Doctor's carry I'll be susceptible to multiple infections in various parts of my body for 2-3 months.
I'm very weak. Both from fighting this infection, but from the lack of therapy.  We have resorted to Kyle lifting me up nearly every time I have to move about.
Feeling pretty down about the steps backwards.  But they say it's too bee expected.  I'm best case scenario, they say 😕
