Haven't updated in a while... no news is good news.:) Got scans again October 1st, I've been off the immunotherapy since March but I'm doing chemo and no changes, which is GOOD NEWS! The docs think immunotherapy combined with the Covid vax may have been what triggered my pneumatic episode (what I called pneumonia). I'm fully healed from that nightmare, thank God, and feel great these days.
I'm working two days a week as a receptionist at Salon Halo still, I just love it there! I miss doing hair and spending time with clients so much, but this job gets me back in the salon environment. My co workers are a delight and very talented.
I'm heading to San Diego in early November for a long weekend. Jenna and Scott just moved to a two bedroom apartment so I can stay there, which will be a blast! I love how I feel in their company and in California...I think I'm meant to be a beach person.
Nick comes over for football often on Sundays. He and Greg are in a fantasy football league, so there's lots of cheering and grumbling going on. Then there's those dang Vikings!!! It gets harder to watch the game every week! I want to be loyal to the team but they make it soo difficult! And Tom Brady makes it so easy to enjoy his games :)
Greg and I bowl in a couples league every other weekend with some neighbors and I joined a women's league on Tuesday nights. I didn't know the other teammates, but wanted to get out of the house more. They are a nice bunch of ladies, we have fun and bowl inconsistently so I fit right in. We have some great friends in Hopkins, Mike and Kim, who we do happy hour with weekly. Bob and Bonnie next door are our card buddies, bowling partners and so much more. Krista and Brian are also dear friends who we bowl with and hang with. Plus the whole neighborhood here is filled with fun people - you know who you are!!! They are all so much fun!
Overall life is pretty good right now. Our kitty Gigi was truly one of our best choices in 2020. She brings us more stinkin joy than I'd ever have thought possible from a cat. She's social, cuddly, smart, funny, independent and spunky. What a gift! We're taking a break from dog sitting for Rover, Gigi isn't crazy about new dogs coming to the house. She hides at first, then slowly comes around, then eventually taunts the poor pups! We've had several very sweet dogs that became repeat customers. I hope to start up again when the kitty and Greg are ready.
Thanks for staying tuned, your support means so much to me. xoxo
