Today, we are asking for our prayer warriors to spend a little extra time for Cate. Cate and Cherilyn headed to Iowa City last evening (Sunday). They were ready to start chemo this morning. Unfortunately, Cate’s kidney function is depressed and she can’t proceed with chemo this week. They are hopeful that a week of rest will restore (increase) the function so that chemo can proceed. Additionally, Cate’s hemoglobin was also low. This morning it was under an 8. A transfusion is likely this week.
We all know and can see that Cate’s body is tired. However, it is important that she finish these last 2 weeks of treatment. Today, we are asking for very specific prayers:
- Please continue to provide her care team with wisdom.
- Provide Cate and family with confidence as they transition to a new oncologist as Dr. Terry transitions to his new role.
- We ask that He provides comfort and peace to Cate.
- We pray for God to grant Cate’s body the opportunity to rebound and strengthen with His healing powers.
- Also, continue to provide strength and hope to Clint, Cherilyn, Cody & Carter as they walk through this emotional week.
We want to thank all of you for your continued prayers.
