Newest Update

Journal entry by Jenni Duckett

For those of you still following along with Casis journey to recovery I wanted to give you some updates.
First off Casi continues to prove the doctors wrong. She has been discharged from at home therapy to out patient therapy which is huge. Casi know longer has to have her feeding tube because she is eating enough by mouth. Her balance has improved a ton as long as she is holding on to someone or something she is good. Be of her balance getting g better she is able to get up and do more walking outside. Casi is absolutely loving her time with her daughter which is all the time and I’m loving it!
Casis memory (long and short term) is still a struggle but she is making positive strides each and  every day.
Casi enjoys going to the river every day to just sit and listen to music. Then we walk (she roles) around the neighborhood enjoying the beautiful weather. Even when it’s raining Casi still wants to go. So we bundle up and head out. It truly is a blessing that I still have my sister hear with me. Although different I wouldn’t change it. I know that it’s difficult because we all remember Casi as she was before the accident but reality is she has changed. ❤️

We want to say thank you to all who have stuck around and been patient while we navigate this new world of hers. Casi is literally relearning everything.
