Would you look at the smile on Carter's face.....the courage of this young man and all of you touches hearts so deeply. Thank you for sharing your faith in the Lord and the certain hope He brings to all of this and more. How timely this is especially now. God bless you all!

So glad that Carter is able to do some of things he loves! Leila, thank you for being vulnerable enough to share all that with us. The piano solo was beautiful. You have such gifted children. I have your Christmas card on my fridge from the year Chase and Brittany got married as a reminder to pray for all of you. We will be thinking and praying for you as you spend Easter apart.

Sweet mother Viss, and father Viss & family Viss: we just cherish all of you in this walk to find "meaning". Thank you all, for weaving us into the prayers, petitions, and footprints so we can come along side with the Power of the Holy Spirit, filling you moment by moment. Love, auntie T.

Thank you both for sharing your hearts and thoughts. You are both fantastic writers. You should consider writing your memoir in tandem since you both have so much to share. What a great perspective for Good Friday. Prayers continue. I’m glad Carter is fishing again and learning to do so many things on his own!

I don't think I've ever read anything that has moved me as deeply as this. Your anguish come through, and I empathize, as I've felt that dark despair over "foreclosed options" through injury. I really needed to hear your Good Friday message of hope. Carter is simply amazing -- his smile is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I'm very happy this journey will find its way into a book. Sending love.

Oh you guys -Leila - I am so glad to have run into you yesterday, out walking, doing what you love ! My heart breaks for you all - thank you for sharing your story and inspiring others. In our own personal struggles with cancer, that diagnosis was a fork in the road, a reflection and question - is my faith "real" ? That was a moment where the rubber met the road. And God became SO present, so STRONG. So real ! Then it became one day at a time kind of living. Thankful for each moment..., each hour...
, each day. Carter, you are blessed to have such an incredible loving family who is walking with you "through" this storm. Our prayers are with you for strength, for healing and that your story will touch MANY lives in amazing and miraculous ways. God is using you for HIS good ! Thank you for your beautiful music - it touched me deeply. Love and long distance hugs to you all.
