Carter looks like he is doing very well with his walking! Happy to see him striding along! Leila...Just yesterday I had that same thought about grief and the pandemic. This pandemic has triggered some grief deep inside me that I thought I had long since left behind. Interesting. 💕🎶🙏💕🎶🙏

Thank you for keeping us informed of Carter's progress. I began reading in January and read all the posts from the beginning. Carter's progress is amazing. You are all an amazing family, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Adjusting to a new normal is just plain difficult and you are all making the adjustments. I pray for you all, especially Leila, since I have met you several times at MTNA Conferences. It is so difficult for a mother to be so separated from a child in need, even when Dad is doing just fine. God wraps us in love, so I will continue to pray for you all. Blessings to you all,

When you WALK through the storm “hold your head up high and don’t be afraid of the dark”. The words of this powerful song comes to mind when I reflect on your precious family. Blessings🙏

Thanks Chuck and Leila for the updates. We are hunkering down here in Tennessee to weather the Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic. Prayers continue for Carter, Chuck (aka surfer-dude wannabe) and you , Leila.

In a traumatic moment everything changes and in time we find ourselves in an unending long haul...during which a person can get weary, frustrated, disoriented and even lost. I have often wondered why a lamenting scripture says, “new every morning.” I still meditate on ‘new’ and am thankful for multiplied and exponential compassions as the human dimensions, imagination and experience of how life has changed reveals itself. My heart is grateful for the delivery of a ‘new’ dose of compassion from the ‘once for all’ man from heaven. Compassionately respecting another family’s journey in all its dimensions.
