Leila, your journal today was so uplifting; I loved hearing all of Carter’s funny comments!!!!!! He has been on my mind last thing before I go to sleep and first thing when I wake up. Love to you all!

Leila and Chuck, Thanks for the updates on Carter. My heart goes out to all of you as do my prayers. Hospitals are challenging environments especially when they hold our children. Glad you’re finding some humor as a laughing heart heals faster than a sad heart. Fondly, Cindy M-H from step

Mrs. Viss, Your journal posts have drawn me into your lives during this most difficult time with your son. I have shared Carter's story with my students as I want them to see how kindness, family, friends, and love are what keep all of us inching forward and embracing life. I hope it helps to know others, even strangers like myself, are thinking of your family and Carter. He sure sounds like an incredible young man with much strength and character.

We are praying for Carter and for the family and caring team around him. We are grateful for the detailed updates, and we pray that you will know the deep reality of the Lord's standing with you and strengthening you through these profound trials (2 Tim. 4:17).

Thank you again for the pictures and the daily update! You are all in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day. I loved reading Deena Candler's comment! What a beautiful thought to know that God has weaved together the two simple words of wait and hope in Spanish, Hebrew and the advent season.😊
