Journal entry by Shannon Couger —
Cameron and I just got off a Zoom call with Carrie and her transplant coordinators at Vandy. She is still doing great. She has gone on another walk today and we found out her biopsy showed no rejection which we are so thankful for as that is a big risk for her with the high antibody level! They plan to discharge her on Wednesday. Although they will allow her to come back to Indiana she will have appointments at least once a week for four weeks after she is discharged. We will likely stay there for that time period due to how long the drive is. Once she comes home she will have very limited visitors due to the pandemic. We could plan for a drive-by parade once she gets home so she can at least see everyone. More to come on that! That’s all for today! Thanks everyone!
