"Happy Fathers Day!!! Instead of focusing on how you've raised us kids right and provided us with your perpetual support, the most salient thing right now is your strength during Mom's recovery. I know it's been hard for us all - but such strength (including the strength to be open up and be vulnerable, in person or online) has been a blessing that eases the shock a bit. So phrased in a different way, I truly couldn't ask for a better, more capable and strong dad. Happy Fathers Day!!!"
The hugs and appreciation in person have been great from Carrie, Lauren, Brianne, my mom, and others I have seen today. Tomorrow starts a new day, but the blessings and feelings of joy are everlasting. To all the fathers and men, keep up the good fight and hold on to your faith (or find it if it's missing). As the USC Trojans say "Fight On!"
