Carolyn’s Story

Site created on October 6, 2019

Last week Carolyn suffered a stroked triggered by a blood clot.  Visitors are not yet a good idea, but your well wishes and comments via this website are appreciated and will be shared with her as well.  There is a long road of physical therapy ahead of her, however we all know she is a fighter.  Thank you again for all your kindness during this time.

10/11/19 Carolyn is having small milestones in her healing.  We are waiting for a bed at Bend Transitional Care  to move her next week and then the rehabilitation therapy can begin!  Carolyn understands what is being said and has spoke a few words as well.  Her right foot is  moving which is a huge blessing.

10/16/19 Carolyn was moved Sunday to a rehabilitation home and today back in emergency.  We are uncertain of issue at this time. We will update you when we know more.
UPDATE:  Carolyn responding again and is returning to Bend Transitional Care.

Journal entry by Cherie Auman

Dear Friends,
Sorry for the slow updates.  Days are filled with so much to do.   Carolyn is working hard to get better and all your thoughts and well wishes are appreciated!
While Carolyn is making some improvement and working hard with the therapy's, progress is slow.   You all know that she is a determined and awesome woman and I know, like her family, you will offer all your encouragement to keep her strong!
Thank you for being here for her and for us!
Daphne
