Journal entry by Stacey Huebner

Schultz, Carol (Bergs) of Edina, died peacefully in her home on August 13, 2021 at the age of 79. Carol was born in New Auburn on January 11, 1942 to parents Mayme and Irie Bergs and raised in Belle Plaine. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Walter Conrad, both parents and her sister Arlene Kerkow. She is survived by her son, Derrick (Pauline); daughters Margaret Schultz, Christina Schultz Yates (Donald), Carrie Thompson (Steven); and by her beloved grandchildren, Mayme, Libby, Sage, Brandt, August, Walter, Ava and Piper; as well as seven siblings, multiple nieces and nephews and loving friends. A graduate of the University of MN Nursing program, she worked as a nurse at HCMC, Jones Harrison, and multiple other clinics. Carol's passion to help others continued through volunteering in Pinocchio, an organization that fundraised for the local children's hospital. Carol was politically engaged, serving many years as a Hennepin County election judge. She also loved serving as a room mom in her children's classrooms. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Hilltop, 5101 Arcadia Ave., Edina on September 6th, 4-7 PM (preceded by a private ceremony at 3:00 PM). In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
