Margaret and I really enjoyed our visit with Caroll on Sunday. Seeing is believing! Caroll’s progress is amazing. Margaret and I are both looking forward to double dating, watching movies and the Halloween party. Keep on truckin'!

Dear Caroll,

First off, I’d like to say that I’m so very happy to hear that you’ve come through this horrible ordeal fighting for life and getting stronger each day, surrounded by loving family and friends. Reading the stories and updates on Caring Bridge shows that without a doubt you’ve had a wonderful and fruitful life.

I’ve thought of you often over the last 42 years and frequently wondered how your life faired. I commonly recall the days at Good Counsel when we were friends, and all of the times that we took my old Rambler to Round Top to go skiing during the winter months. Those were great times to say the least.

The latest information on your hospitalization came to me this afternoon through Douglas Kayhoe, and I’m glad it did. It’s good to see pictures of you on the mend and I hope that you get to go home very soon.

As for me, I’ve also had a wonderful life. I live in New Orleans, am a health care provider (PA) and I practice Urology. I’ve been married for 36 years and have two adult sons. I travel to Maryland at least once per year. Maybe at some point we could get together again if that would be alright with you. In the meantime, keep on fighting the good fight.
