Journal entry by Liz Loos —
Tuesday, January 11: Within 24 hours, I’ve had 2 joyful events :
1. At 4:40 pm Monday, a considerate nurse called me with an excellent pathology report. The 2 lymph nodes taken during surgery were negative and the margins around the incision were clear. The report confirmed the cancer was Metaplastic.
2. Today, Tuesday, this same nurse very gently pulled the 2 drain tubes from my left side. I feel like I’ve been freed from bondage.
There’s been a noticeable uptick in my energy level since my final chemo infusion December 15. Just recently I’ve been able to focus again on reading. So today the sun is really shining.
Grateful for your friendship -
