My heart is hurting along with yours. I somehow missed this message and was just going through her gallery and remembering that beautiful smile wishing I could be sitting across from her again enjoying dinner at MD Andersen. What a wonderful evening we had together. She gave us the beautiful tour of what she called the mothership. As long as she was at MD Andersen she felt safe and at home. She knew that even if it was her time and the good Lord called her home she was in the best possible care. I agreed and still agree with her. There we feel well loved . There's no way to explain unless you have experienced the kindness at MD Andersen. Was so fun to regale our time working together at the bed and breakfast and the moments we enjoyed at the Mayor's Place. Thank you Carolayne for your love and encouragement to go to MD Andersen. We will be ever grateful to you. I know you are at peace now and fully alive. No more cancer. My prayers continue for your family, all who reached out to help take care of you. Glad God allowed us to meet up again after 12 years. Love you dearly. Will see you again someday and again we'll laugh and roam the gardens of heaven even more beautiful than the Kaleidescope. No more dead heading as things will never die, though I did enjoy those moments, so peaceful and reflective. Just thinking that now you are experiencing colors even more vibrant, fun and beautiful than looking through all those kaleidescopes. See you soon my friend. Thanking God for our friendship

Rosie DiSante - Carolayne was a former classmate of mine @ MCA and we celebrated our 50th Class Reunion last month - that's when I was informed of her illness - the world has lost an angel - even though our lives all went in a different directions - taking us all to different states - I will always remember her - she was one of the sweetest and kindest classmates that I ever knew....her LOVE for LIFE and the world will be missed - but, our Lord needed another angel & he called her home...

Peace be with you Carolayne - no more pain to be experienced - just PEACE. My condolences to her immediate family & friends - may the Lord give each of you the strength and understanding as you mourn her passing.

God bless each of you,
Signed - A former Class Mate - R. DiSante

So sorry to hear this about Carolayne. I knew her from the Lafayette, La. days and was also in contact with her after she moved to L.A. - please let everyone know if there will be a memorial in California.

I am so sorry to hear it. She fought so hard and with such a strong spirit and attitude. Surely, she is with her Savior now.

Ohhh… my heart is so sad. She was indeed a fighter. She fought until the end and did all she could to battle this horrible disease. My prayers are with her family and friends. Her spirit and friendship will be missed. The battle is over. Rest in peace sweet friend.. ❤️
