Although I will not be able to join you tomorrow, you are all in my heart these days. Some I you I know and some of you I don't. Carol Ann had the gifts of connecting people, loving and living large, and caring for rescues. I met Carol Ann in the 70's as a teenager, when I moved to Kauai. Carol Ann was a friend of my parents and became a friend of mine. Carol Ann was a light for me during the late 70's, as I navgated the topsy turvy high schools of that time as a red-haired, freckled, pasty white Irish girl. I consider Carol Ann's recent rescue family my furry nieces and nephews (and I wonder how they are grieving, as I came to Kauai many many times over the last eight years to care for Kaikea and friends (cannot remember all their names). Carol Ann always made me feel a part of the family and welcomed me as part of her ohana. I know that each of you had unique and special relationsips with her, and I am keeping you in my thoughts, as we continue to live as fully as Carol Ann did. she was a friend, mentor, role model, fellow animal advocate, ohana.

Carol Ann was a terrific long time family friend to our Flynn family. she was very close with Sharon and Bob.
