Hi guys! Update on the stupid bump 😊

Today was my first day of radiation, WHOO 🥳

1 down and 24 sessions to go. 

It will be a much dreaded drive downtown Chicago for a 5 min treatment, 5 days a week for 5 weeks. After radiation I will take a month break to let my bump heal the surgery! 👏 I want to give a giant thank you in advance to all the people who have volunteered to drive me or help watch the kiddo’s! Fatigue will be one of my biggest side effects so that help is so special to me. I’m so incredibly blessed with such thoughtful people in my life. 

Update on me:  My last chemo (I hope it was my last 🙏) was mid February and I’m doing SO good. They say each round gets harder but it was hands down my best round. How great is God? Most definitely my weakest, but the least side effects by far. I’ve been chasing the kids around, carrying them without getting winded, and just feeling like a strong mom 💪 I really haven’t seen anyone or done anything since the end of December so I’m ready for this good weather and to get out there! 

I still get uncomfortable saying “I have cancer” because I just don’t feel like it. I know I haven’t beat it yet but I consider myself one of the lucky ones. I’ve had an unbelievably blessed journey thus far. I’m grateful for the big things and the small and I plan to keep that gratitude until the end. I think it plays a huge roll in my treatment and healing. God has never been better to me, truly. Life threw me a curve ball and he is giving me more beauty out of it than ugly. 🤍

I’ve been working on building my immune system. Trying to keep my weight up but it’s been harder than I hoped. I freaking love being bald. I don’t miss my hair at all 🧑‍🦲 I don’t plan on playing with wigs for awhile. I’ll be stocking up on sunscreen this summer because the head will be out! ☀️
