What a great and long life Carl lived, full of the kind of riches that are truly meaningful, and blessed with Marie's abiding love and the love of large family plus the caring of many friends. I especially admired Carl's tenacity as a painter, as I knew Carl and Marie at Parkview Manor. I can only imagine having witnessed his vigor in art, and now having read the tribute to Carl here, he lived life well. Still, I share my condolences, especially with Marie. Emily Kretschmer
