Sign In to Show Your SupportWe had lots of highs and lows this week. The winter storms knocked out the power for most of the city and surrounding areas. We ended up hosting 3 families that were without power. There was a total of 13 of us and 3 dogs! It was a welcomed distraction for us. His PET was scheduled and cancelled 3 days in a row. The doctors want us the do the PET scan before chemo begins. We were starting to worry a little because Dudu was feeling a pressure in his right eye and cloudiness of his vision. This was something the doctors have asked about a lot, concerned he might loose his vision in the right eye. They called in a steroid, but this the first medication he has taken!
The hospital finally confirmed on Thursday afternoon we were a go for 730a on Friday! The test went as planned. I continue to be so thankful for our new insurance. We showed up and they said, "That will be $2,799 dollars, please or we can bill you?" I immediately called the insurance and they said, no we are covering that 100%. We were done about 9a, just in time to get back home for my meeting at 10a!
GREAT NEWS: Dr. Sher called that afternoon to tell us the great news. It is confirmed no cancer in his neck or lungs, or anywhere else! Dr Sher is confident in the diagnosis on neuroendocrine carcinoma a very rare aggressive tumor that should shrink quickly with chemo. We are so thankful for this news, it was the first really positive news in this whole process.
PRAYING FOR: We need to get started with chemo quickly we hope to start Monday/Tuesday.
