Tyler and family, I am so very sorry for this great loss. She fought for so long. I am thinking about you all at this time. For words of comfort, all I can say is that my momma is up there already in heaven and I have imagined in my head and heart that she helped welcome her into his kingdom. I didnt realize this before but my parents (Diane and Rick Conrad) were her god parents the day she was baptized. So I know Carlie is up there with my momma Diane and she now your Gaurdian Angel and will look down on all of you always just like my mom is doing for me.
Love, Cousin Kari ❤

It's hard to find words to say to express my deep sadness, Tyler and family, for your loss. Carlie was a special person whom I have no doubt God used to influence the lives and faith of all those that knew her and especially those whom she taught at CWC. She will be remembered for her talent, steady faith, and loving inspiration exhibited both in her art and her life.

This is one of those times when you want the perfect words but anything you write fails to say what is in your heart. Carla was a fresh wind in everyone's life. She understood what it means to live more than most people. Through her eyes you could see how God painted this world. I remember her telling me once that she didn't take notes during my sermons but she drew pictures. It was an honor to sit with her and listen. Yet, in the beauty of God's daughter there was an enormous strength as she struggled in many ways. Her perseverance in life was obviously due to God and she would be the first one to say that. In the toughest of times she could write in such a way that we felt lifted up even though we came thinking that we would lift her up. Although my heart is very heavy with this loss on earth I rejoice that she is now seeing her LORD and Savior.
