The old man is getting fat! How crazy is it when you can celebrate 130 pounds? I guess when you start at 106 every pound is a celebration. Even though the removal of the feed tube was a big scary thing, it was one of the best decisions we made this year. Food is no longer a struggle and most things seem to work just fine for him.

Not only has he gained weight, but he is actually getting to do lots of things he wasn’t doing a year ago. Dishes!!! Picking berries!!! Making his own breakfast!!!

So many little things to be thankful for, that includes all of you who have lent your support in so many ways.

Getting to where we are right now has left us neglectful in keeping up on these posts. Please know we think of you all daily with such gratitude.

Physical therapy is pretty much our focus these days. Three days a week and boy is it paying off! Most days it requires a nap but hey, it is a nap without tubes and needles attached!

It is so beautiful here right now. Having missed the entire summer last year this is extra special for us. The joy of seeing the life in the gardens, feasting on berries and watching the ferries go by, is such a huge blessing. It is our hearts desire to share that with any of you who want to come and see the magic.

It has been journey that has changed my life in so many ways, physically learning to walk again, learning to eating, talk and remember how my life was before I got sick, but I can do all these activities and I’m grateful and realize I will never be the same yet I”m grateful and with a new path hopefully to help someone else to regain their life.
