Journal entry by Ann Brooks —
I am happy to report that Guy is out of isolation and happily racing in the hallway in his wheelchair again!!! It has been a tough time, with him being diagnosed with Covid. He started out with a mild case, but then the wicked cough was not responding to breathing treatments or cough medications. That was scary, but his doctor put him on a steroid that did the trick!! 🙏
While it is very hard to have a loved one develop Covid in a long term care facility, I am very thankful for the staff at Swift Creek for their care, concern, and communication during this time. The doctor’s prompt decision making and the 1:1 skilled nursing attention was quite impressive.
Again, thanks for all of the encouraging prayers, calls, texts, emails, and cards.
It means so much to us all. Ann. ❤️
