Sharon’s Story

Sharon moved into Merrill Gardens in December 2017 after a series of falls and a drop in cognition. The location is close to her only remaining child, Jennie, and to her niece Anjelica (“Ikka”). Her brother, Bob Randall, and his wife, Pat Fraga, visit often.

She no longer reads email but welcomes calls and letters.

November 1, 2020 -- memorial plans

I've been asked about memorial/funeral plans.

Mom wished to be cremated and for her ashes scattered on the Pacific Ocean.

I am hoping to have a memorial service in Alameda at my church in about a year's time, when we can hopefully get together face to face. Mom made a request for no poetry to be read.
