Joseph’s Story

Site created on March 7, 2018

Hello!  Meet Joseph.  Joseph and I met a decade ago in a tiny, remote village in Kenya. Both his parents passed from HIV/AIDS and he was in a very poor living condition.  With the help of some amazing people, Joseph and his brother have been fed, loved and educated ever since.  All was going well until Joseph got sick last year.  In the last 10 months, he's spent almost 5 of them in hospital, has have 5 biopsies and numerous labs and tests and all we still know is there are masses growing in his heart, around his heart, and in his lung.  He needs to have surgery to survive.  But, finding a surgeon brave and skilled enough to take on his high-risk surgery is proving to be a bit complicated.  So, come on inside, grab a cup of coffee and learn more about this amazing boy who calls me 'Mum'.

A note from Baba Reuben Lubanga:
Blessings to you all Brethren and Facebook family. It's a Heart wrenching moment for all of us. Sadly Joseph didn't make it through surgery and He is now with the Lord and the Saints in Heaven. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support during this journey that has lasted almost a year in Hospital. We bless you all and request for your continued prayers and support as we prepare for His final resting place. May the Peace of the Lord that Surpasses all understanding be with you all wherever you are.
