Just checking in to see how Cara is doing. I hope that every day is better than the one before and that she is making good progress. Hugs and prayers.

April 1, 2019. Ok
Cara's PT did some work with her in the house--ankle movements, leg movement out and up and then back down and back. A walk from the ",bedroom" to the kitchen; a walk back into the "livingroom. " a quick sit down to get jackets on and then outside. With Bob following behind with her wheelchair, her PT on her left side she walked from the ramp off the front porch to the edge of the driveway. Back into the house. Jackets off and then into the kitchen by the sink. We got the ok to help her use her platform walker to move around the house a number of times during the day. She felt pretty good about the day, as did we. Then , it was off to the optometrist for a checkup and new glasses. Thanks to everyone at Kivlin Optical for all your help today. She's excited to get her new glasses. Home again home again. A good supper, some reading, and now it's lights out. Good night, all. Wee steps forward. We believe. đź’–

April 1, 2019 UPDATE
I've been trying to post updates but I don't have the "post an update" choice again so I'm putting this in comments...again. Cara has been working with therapists here at the house . Each therapist comes just twice a week, so progress is slower than prior to March 8th. But, there is progress. She is standing at the kitchen sink, which allows her to work on balance and strength. She has s platform walker, and we are hoping they are going to train us on how to work with her in using it. That would mean we could get her up and moving around the house more frequently. OT is working on her arm. She is beginning to have slight movement in the arm, but still nothing in her fingers. The shower, (Cara calls it her little "red neck shower) works pretty well. We've got it down to 35 minutes of setup, showering, and take down. Wee steps forward. We believe.

Nothing beats taking a shower and feeling all over clean. It is the little things in life that make the difference.
