Beverly,
Sorry to hear of your loss. John and I spent a lot of good and fun times together over the years. Our shared interest were mainly motorcycles and the insurance business. He was very blessed to have you in his life as his wife.

He will be missed

Oooh Beverly I'm so sad to hear that Fred's best friend has passed away. He was a witness to his marriage and I was a witness to Marie-Claire more or less 30 years ago.
I remember the time when he was so proud to show the boat he had built, an adorable man who loved life!
And I was so happy to see him again at Fred's funeral in 2019.
John was such a good man, always in a good mood and always very positive!
As Marie-Claire says, John joined his best friend Fred up there to share their good memories, and I add with a good glass of wine!
Wish you lots of courage Beverly. He loved you so much.
Myriam from Brussels.

Captain Schnack as he was affectionately known will be missed by many, and I was lucky enough to share many great memories with John & the Schnackenberg family through the years! I will always remember him with a grin on his face in his happy places...skiing down a mountain in Colorado, sailing anytime there was the opportunity, or dancing the night away with his love Beverly. He will always hold a special place in my heart and mind. Sail on John, sail on........

I met John about 30 years ago when Fred took me to the US to see if I could live here ... During the 3 years Fred worked for NATO, John came to visit Fred in Brussels a few times. . They would then take off and visit Europe and also Morocco.. John was Fred’s best man and Myriam my maid honor. Fred and John loved to hunt together and we regularly met for dinners, skiing, etc. He was getting tired of the cold and moved to FL where he met the love of his life - Beverly. We were lucky to be able to attend their beautiful wedding. John had a personality bigger than life - he loved life - his family - the warm weather and dancing with Beverly. We were lucky to be able to cruise with them a few months before Fred was diagnosed with cancer. John came to his celebration of life and gave a great speech. He fought a brave battle with cancer but is now in peace - he is probably with his best buddy talking about the great life they had...He will be dearly missed by all those who had the chance to meet him ...
