Journal entry by Destinee McClung —
Cannon had his first round of chemo on Monday. He handled it like a champ and it wasn’t hard for him at all. The rest of the day was harder though. He’s been really nauseous since Monday evening and there’s been a good amount of dry heaving/throwing up. He wasn’t able to eat anything until Tuesday afternoon and that was one bite of his fave subway sandwich every 15-30 min. Zofran seems to make him throw up immediately so we’ll be asking the doc about using something else.
Cannon will have 24 more chemo sessions. In 5 weeks, they will do another CT scan to check his lungs. If the spots are still visible, he will also need radiation.
We have three “ways to help” listed- go fund me, meal train, and Cannon’s wishlist. The wishlist is from Amazon and ships directly to the Eisenmayer’s, and is full of comfy items and small toys that are useable at the hospital. If you click “ways to help” you’ll see the three links!
We really appreciate all the love and support everyone has been sending! ♥️ Let’s keep up the support and prayers!
