Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Please note donations should be done on GoFundMe page…Tribute donations to CaringBridge DO NOT go to the family. They support CB’s services, a good cause, but not to the family. If you made a tribute to CaringBridge, but meant to donate to the family, please call CaringBridge at 651-452-7940 and they will refund your donation.

Calvin is a happy and spirited 13-month-old baby boy. He was born to Timotheé and Abby in Saint Paul, MN. On January 30th the family moved to Cameroon to work as missionaries in Africa.

Due to an unfortunate accident, on February 6th, Calvin was badly burned over 30% of his body. The culture and hospitals systems are quite different than what people in the US are used to. The hospitals, staff and environment are not fully equipped to handle the needs and care for Calvin. The first couple of nights they were bit up by mosquitoes in their room and had no AC. Calvin has a 102 degree temp. On top of that, the whole family was already feeling ill. It has been a rough experience. They also had to pay up front for medicine, supplies and bring food. Calvin was bandaged up, but now he needs more specialized care and pain management. Despite all this, there have been blessings; friends and fellow missionaries supporting them where they can.

On Saturday February 10th, Calvin was medically evacuated by air ambulance to Johannesburg, South Africa for better care. Yaoundé to Johannesburg is about 3000 miles. That is is slightly over one and a half times further than Los Angeles to New York. For a while, they were told Timotheé wasn’t allowed on the flight and would have to make his own way. Timotheé showed up with his bag and was able to board after some negotiation. Just after boarding the plane Calvin was finally given pain medicine strong enough to manage his pain. As of 9 PM local (1PM Central), they landed in Johannesburg and was being assessed for treatment.

We appreciate all the love, prayers, and support during this challenging time. If you'd like to help in any way, please donate to help cover the expenses. While they have insurance for some things, they have to cover some things up front and others things may not be covered.

Please feel free to leave messages of love, encouragement, or support for Calvin and his family. Your kind words mean the world to us and provide strength during difficult days.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, prayers, and love. Together, we are stronger, and your presence in our lives means more than words can express.

We will do our best to provide regular updates on Calvin's progress. You can also connect with us through this page.
Thank you for being a part of Calvin’s support network. Your kindness and compassion are truly appreciated.

With love and respect gratitude,
