Journal entry by Amanda Chiles —
She is the peanut to my butter, the flip to my flop, the mountain to my oyster (🤣), the pickle to my tequila, the cream to my coffee, and most importantly, my best friend! She is Callee Lynn Hainline and if you don’t know her, then you’ve yet to know the definition of determination, strength, and bravery.
On July 16, 2021, our family’s world, quickly turned upside down. Callee, a single mother of two year old, Atticus Avery, was diagnosed with stage 3c breast cancer at the young age of 32. She has began undergoing chemo once a week for the next twelve weeks, with two treatments already behind her. After completing the first 12 weeks of chemo, Callee will begin chemo treatment once every three weeks for an additional 12 weeks, then surgery, and possibly radiation.
Although Callee is still able to work some hours at her job, Holton Meat Processing, she may not be able to work much, if at all, in the near future as the chemo fights the cancer and causes her great sickness. Our family would like to stay on top of the financial burden Callee will face as the medical expenses and monthly bills continue to roll in, so we’re asking for monetary donations at this time. Holton Meat Processing is also planning their 1st annual Poker Run Benefit for Callee (more details soon to be announced). If you would like to make a donation towards the auction items for that fundraiser, please feel free to contact Amanda at 785-969-2407 or Cassey at 785-364-2331
