Journal entry by Reshawn Goods

Yesterday I was able to spend time with one of my loves and gaze upon the ocean while eating lamb chops and sipping on adult beverages. It's the simple things that make like so beautiful. The laughter was the best medicine. As we journeyed back home we encountered an Asian girl, I'd say about 19-21 years old. She was on a bike made for riding around a park but she was on the freeway. Yes the freeway. She was seriously in the lane like a car yall...I can't make this shit up. We were very concerned and so were other drivers on the road, she was yelling back and forth with one driver and it was at this point the freeway became an incline and she hit a button for a little motor to start and she hunkered down like she was on a motorcycle...this was some shit for a movie yall. She was in the full embodiment of Speed Racer and we were cracking up uncontrollably (it was the cannabis) Tears in my eyes made it hard for me to see for a second and just like that poof she was gone, no where to be found, it was if it never happened but we know it did. Lawdamercy how that was the topic for the rest of the ride home and the laughter that came with it never ended. This was just what I needed as I go to these pre-op appointments. I'm just days away from surgery. My thoughts are clean and clear, I feel powerful and amazing. I feel the prayers and good energy swimming around me. I feel the prayers of my mama and the guidance of my ancestral court and I have all of you. Giving thanks again and again.
