Great writing, Bill. Even during chemo treatments, you are still a stand-out and a great guy! You have improved "birding life" for many, many people. Thanks for staying positive.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I totally get what you are saying. Take each day as a gift. Not to make this about me, however, I received a lymphoma diagnosis in 2007, I was so close to the point of death I wrote my own obituary. Thankfully with 6 months of disgusting chemo, I am in remission. I had a large inoperable mass in my abdomen. But they were able to get that to shrink. We are never out of the woods. I just had an inflamed lymph node along my jaw line grow into the size of a golf ball last week, so to be on the safe side I will get a catscan. Thinking of you and Julie and such a wonderful family and support system every day. Keep up the faith and the fight.

Sally and I from Avian Aquatics fondly remember the great experiences we had with you and all your BWD family. At 76, I am slipping a bit keeping all our Bird Creeks open, but still sort of doing OK in between PT and doc visits.

Your letter is so deeply touching. Thank you for what you have shared, and we wish all the best for you and your family in a very difficult and painful situation. If you'd like a Bird Creek from Avian Aquatics for your new "Indigo Hill farm" home, I still have a few left over and would be happy to send you one. No doubt you could find a capable friend to install it....and perhaps I can even find the instructions.

I hope and pray you recover from this cancer. So we haven’t met yet but like a lot of people in the birding community do, I friend people like you and Julie on FB that I know I would like to meet, and think that one day our paths will cross and we will meet. I’m hopeful that day will come soon. Best wishes to you and your family.

None of us really discovers our resilience and ability to overcome challenges until the unimaginable knocks on our door. Thanks Bill for a window into how you are dealing with your cancer. Your message is uplifting and a reminder to not take anything or anyone for granted, particularly those nearest and dearest to you.

Hi Bill - I only know you electronically, but I am a survivor too. I have a feeling the weird dreams are a lot from the stress and strain of this new predicament. Waiting for the other shoe to drop? It does stink for sure, as you need rest to heal and carry on. It may get better with time or maybe not. I did find relief to sleep problems with acupuncture. The lack of an immune system from chemo is certainly nothing to take lightly, as I can tell you don't. Can't ever be too careful these days and don't share anything! I'll keep on sending good thoughts to you.
