Bob’s Story

Site created on October 17, 2017

Bob was diagnosed with inoperable Stage III squamous cell lung cancer in October.  Currently he has a tumor that is pressing on his esophagus and trachea.  Very soon he will start aggressive radiation to try and shrink the tumor.  Thankfully the cancer has not spread into his lungs or brain.  Words of encouragement are encouraged and appreciated.  Bob wants everyone to know he fully intends to kick cancer's butt and beat it, again! The site is being maintained by his daughters.

Journal entry by Deb Marsh

It's hard to believe it's been a year since dad passed away. At this time we do not plan to have a service for extended family or friends for dad. We said our good-byes last September on his birthday. This September we are sponsoring a hole in his memory at the South High Golf Tournament. That is an event dad loved to attend and we are sure he will do his best to make sure it's a beautiful day.

We appreciate all of the calls, texts, e-mails, and notes over the last year. They helped more than you know. Dad was fond of this poem.  Doing good deeds and relying on friends is a great way to remember him. So is eating ice cream and laughing over good joke.
