Bryon is a friend to all ! An amazing individual, loving husband to Julie, a wise father to Lierin and Lydia, an incredible brother who somehow holds his own with sister Pam, and a dependable and understanding son to Dorothy. Probably most well known as "master of the grill" in the Unicoi County community. You will see him cooking up his fajitas at relay for life, hot dogs and hamburgers for multiple community events such as autorama, community festivals or family events, Ruritan fish fry, and active member of Unicoi County Farm Bureau Federation Board of Directors. If you have ever eaten any of his creations, I am sure you have asked him where will you be next? He is so super proud of Lierin who just graduated nursing school and Lydia who will be graduating UCHS and has been accepted to study agriculture at UT Martin for which she received several scholarships. This pic features Bryon in "his office" where you will find him most days at Jones & Church Farms. He has worked with his Uncle Carl since he was big enough to carry a tomato bucket. Now, a master welder and responsible for machine operation and maintenance and works in shipping at the packing house. He logs many hours on his trusty forklift. In late April, after some routine lab work resulting in further testing; Bryon was told that he had a tumor in his liver. Further pathology test revealed that it was Hepatocellular carcinoma. The tumor at this time is inoperable. Bryon has a great medical team consisting of liver specialist, Radiology oncologist, hematology oncologist, Julie, Lierin and Pam (lol) and is being advised to begin a radioactive bead treatment in the near future. He will also be traveling to Duke on May 29th for a consultation. We ask for your prayers for effective treatment options, for the right treatment decisions, safe travels and for Strength. We know God is the great Physician and we believe in the power of prayer. Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
