Today is another day to wake up and fight.

Bryce is having a decent day and making his mother nutty (in a good way).

First, I want to thank you for taking the time opening this message and reading it. My name is Alicia and I found out on November 6th the heart breaking news that my 14 year old son has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML.) AML is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow with excess immature white blood cells. AML progresses rapidly, with myeloid cells interfering with the productions of normal white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. He will be undergoing constant transfusions of blood and platelets to keep him alive. This treatment can open up opportunities for children who are diagnosed and suffering from AML as Bryce is signed up with biobanking, research that can help children diagnosed with this illness in the future.
I am a single mother of two amazing boys, and I will now be spending 6 months or so in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as my son undergoes chemotherapy treatment and numerous transfusions of blood and platelets. His life is forever changed, as he will not be able to resume his teenage life in school, enjoy his favorite activities such as riding his bike, playing soccer, playing video games and spending time with his younger brother and his friends.

We would greatly appreciate if you can contribute a donation to help our family during this difficult time. The hardship is not only an emotional one but a financial one as well as we all know medical treatment is expensive and so my son can receive the treatment that ultimately can save his life.
