Journal entry by Brittney Simpkins

My very first chemo treatment went okay I guess. I had my husband and my brother with me for day one. This would be the only time I was allowed two visitors with me. I slept pretty much the entire time. I was given some pills for nausea before the started the chemo bags. And whatever pills they gave me made me tired. I woke up about half way through to use the restroom. I was freezing my ass off so the nurse gave me a warm blanket and I went back to sleep. When it was all over I went home slept the rest of the day. I had a friend bring dinner for the family so that was helpful. I ate a little bit of the spaghetti and started feeling 🤢. I called the after hours advice line to see if I could take something. I took some Zofran and went back to sleep.
