Newest Update

Journal entry by Abigail Zoller

Hello Family and Friends,

If you haven’t heard from her yourself, Bridget is back online again - sparingly of course!

She hasn’t been feeling the greatest with low blood sugars and low potassium levels, but she is not critical anymore! Her speech had come back tremendously and although she doesn’t remember the couple days before the fall, her memory seems to be in tact.

The doctors still don’t seem to know what caused the incident but we are thankful for the quick healing. With her being out of immediate danger, they wanted to move her to an assisted living space so she can heal and rest up properly. With COVID-19 a large concern, she will be staying with family instead.

It will still be a long road of recovery ahead - No hiking and solo road trips for a while. She is being referred to her primary care doctors again as she  makes the transition back to the Saint Cloud Area. They will continue to monitor her brain bleed and the clot in her leg. Along with her gallbladder that might have to be removed down the line. We are hopeful these things heal with time and rest at home.

She is hopefully going to be strong enough to do a stress test in the coming days and then will be on her way home! We are very grateful for all of the love, support, and prayers you all have offered up. THANK YOU for keeping Bridget and the rest of her family strong as we navigated this difficult situation. The power of community and connection is strong. You all showed up for Bridget and continue to help her heal!

Please keep Bridget in your thoughts and in your heart. We will continue to provide you updates as she makes her way home and normalizes her life again.

Bridget - we love you and we’ll see you soon!
