11/27/19 Update from Kevin:

Hello Family and Friends,

 

As many know Bridget has completed her 27 radiation & 2 chemo treatments at Mayo. We've returned to Fargo, being home for Thanksgiving. Lindsey our daughter from Omaha was able to come home and be with us. 

 

Our niece and family had us over for wonderful Thanksgiving meal and family gathering on Thursday. Bridget's brother and wife had another get together on Friday. 

 

We are very grateful for the care and kindness while Bridget went through her treatments. 

 

Bridget was able to ring the "Sound of Hope" bell when she completed her radiation treatments. The ringing of the bell is very emotional time, we witnessed several people ring the bell over the last 6 weeks. We pray for each and every person going through their own cancer battle. Jess our daughter and me had tears flowing, so happy that Mom's / Bridget's radiation treatments are completed.

 

We are also grateful for The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Rochester. Bridget's residency during a portion of her stay.

 

During our last visit to Fargo before Bridget last 2 treatments. Our friend from the Fargo Forum Mike McFeely asked if there was anything he could do, and offered to write an article about Bridget's cancer.

 

Mike did and the article was run on Thanksgiving Day paper. Thank you Mike for your expert ability to capture our Families challenge, feelings and hope. Knowing there are so many, so many families dealing with hardship. We feel blessed, humbled, peaceful and ready to face our daily lives.

 

The next phase of treatment will be once a month or so chemo treatments at the Roger Maris Cancer Center.

 

We are bless for the many family, friends, companies and organizations that give us strength, time to reflect, helpful in caring, talking, texting and praying.
