Brianne’s Story

Site created on December 26, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On November 16th, 2017 we were told that I had Leukemia. I underwent four intense rounds of inpatient chemotherapy. Each one brought its own challenges, but in May I left the hospital for the last time, Cancer-Free. I was in complete remission and off treatment for about six months. In that short amount of time, I graduated high school, went to summer camp where I met my best friend, went on the trip of my life to Colorado, and began a new job. I was making plans for college and the future. Unfortunately, in November we began to notice that things were off, and after more testing, it was confirmed that my cancer has returned.
The plan this time is a bit different, we will undergo one round of intense chemotherapy in Savannah, then we will get ready to go to Atlanta for even more intense chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
I can't thank everyone enough for the overwhelming support you have shown me and my family. We love and appreciate all of you!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Brianne Marie

Day two of the transplant chemo protocol is over, thankfully I’m tolerating it really well so far. I’m currently getting two different chemotherapies from 9pm-3amish. Two more nights of this and we will have some time for rest before my transplant on Thursday.
I am definitely missing my fur babies and i haven’t been able to make my room feel any more homey, but hopefully I’ll do a little of that soon.

I’ve updated the wishlist with a few different things as well as updated it to the hospital address:
