Journal entry by Cheryl Kinney —
Today was Brian's 3 month spine check-up. He had an MRI, x-rays, then we met with the drs. to discuss the results. We had a good report! The compression fracture has not worsened. They do not think he needs surgery...hooray! They officially released him from wearing the back brace and the lifting weight limit. They gave him the okay to begin physical therapy, which he'd like to do to strengthen and gain range of motion in his right arm. Brian still gets back pain and needs to be careful, but again, they said he needs more healing time. It will be 6 months on July 8 since his accident. The drs. are impressed with his progress. Brian was able to be in the tractors to do all the field work and spring planting. What he couldn't get done was due to WEATHER, not his physical capabilities. We thank God and all of you for your prayers and support. We go back in December for another x-ray, just to monitor the vertebrae. I don't even want to think about winter weather driving!
